great little beach
5.00Polo beach is a very nice, quiet beach. At least it was quiet when we were there. The sand is super soft and deep and makes it quite hard to walk on. I found the beach using Google maps and Waze... no issues. One thing to look for, if it continues to be there, is the white horse fence right before getting to the entrance to the beach. Once you see the white horse fence, slow down. Cars are parked on the roadside on both sides of the road.
Pros: Quiet, pretty secluded. Nice water views!
Cons: Very soft sand. No amenities whatsoever. About an hour's drive from Waikiki. Not too far from Haleiewa and the North Shore.

Wonderful place
5.00We have been to the island three different times and we go to Polo two or three times every time we're there. We love the beach it's so peaceful and such a beautiful place, the multicolored shoots of the skydivers drifting by make for a nice day. The sunset is one of the most beautiful you will ever find anywhere.
Pros: The beauty and peacefulness.
Cons: The sand is very deep and soft which make it hard to get in and out of the water.

Visits in March 2016
5.00Hi there! We visited three times during our seven days on the island and enjoyed it very much. Very quiet stretch of beach with views of the water and surrounding trees, no houses or man made things to speak of. You walk between two fields where horses for the adjacent trail ride company are kept and they do pass by the beach just at the edge of the nude area several times per day. When you reach the beach turn to the right and continue along the fence for a hundred or so feet. The initial part of the nude area we took the be more for couples/songles and the far end (easterly) seemed to be the…
Pros: So peaceful!
Cons: can be windy, "bush lurker dude encounter"
