  I was there in my RV last weekend, it was the first time in that place, it is phenomenal, great ... I will surely return safely before the cold weather arrives again ...

  Pros: privacy, discreet, good menu in the restaurant ...

  Cons: if there are few, perhaps the RV sites are narrow and very small.

• CHARMING LITTLE PLACE

  I feel lucky that ELR was my first social nudist venue. I was joined there by HoustonNudist, whom I call the ELR guru, and that made things even more enjoyable. Day visitors were friendly, respectful and easy-going, and residents mindful and welcoming. I stayed over at Lake House and found lodging comfortable and inexpensive. Site is undergoing major refurbishment with outdoor hot tub not working (indoor one is though) and digging taking place all over, but that didn`t make my visit a bit less worthy.   Pros: Close to Kroger and Walmart; pretty close to George Bush airport. Several varied-price eateries nearby. Awesome secluded spot with lake as memorable landmark.

  Cons: Noise from whistling trains passing across the highway but that didn`t bother me though.

  I had only been to one other nudist resort and that was ten years ago but Emerald Lake was always in the back of my mind because it is relatively close to where I live. So, I spent a Monday there. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities clean and neat, the hot tubs and pool areas were very nice. It was a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze and it felt so good to be naked outside for the first time in ten years - I loved it! And I will go back, probably Monday October 6th, join me!

  Pros: Nice facilities, RV spots, rooms for overnight stays, beautiful lake.

  Cons: A little small and some noise from the nearby highway.

  We camped out two nights here during Memorial Day weekend. The resort is beautiful and an awesome lake. The thing that we didn`t like was the noise, which resulted from drunk partiers and Loud train whistles from a nearby railroad crossing. The trains seemed to blow through at least every other hour, which made the nights horrible. There were still some very friendly people and we enjoyed the nature and facilities.

  I just visited this resort for the AANR-SW midwinter meeting. This is a really cozy place right in the heart of Porter. If you did not know it was there you might miss it, but please don`t do that! The folks here are real friendly. They have been making some major changes and upgrades to their grounds such as a new pool. Sadly I was not able to make full use of all the facilities as the time I visited they had a major ice storm hit the area one day, but it did warm up a couple days later in which I was able to get some sun on the skin. • Great resort for my first time!!!

  While this was my first trip to a nudist resort, it was GREAT!!!! The staff are friendly and welcoming. The beach and lake are what make this resort unique. Some of the recent improvements are complete, and they are about to break ground on a pool. I expect it will only get better, and I will definitely be back soon.

  Cons: No pool, but that will be remedied soon enough.

  For those of you that may have doubted this resort I`m happy to report they are undergoing a significant remodeling under new ownership. check out the NEW website at: http://www.emeraldlakeresorthouston.com/ Can`t wait till the grand opening on May 4-Saturday Spring Opnener! Gates open at 9AM. Cajun supper for the first 75 folks starts at 630. Live music in the Pavilion starts at 730PM. see ya`ll there!

  The resort is under new ownership and management. It is in the process of a complete overhaul including a refurbished clubhouse, pool, RV parking area and wet area spa room. The lake is as beautiful as ever and is still stocked with catfish and bass. There are new photos of the construction on this page. There will be a spring opener party on May 4, Saturday with live music and food for the first 75 entrants. The website will be updated soon. The rates are mostly still the same. If you visited before, you will not recognize the new club!

  this has been on my locations list for a while, but I had not gone until last leap-year day. That was on a Wednesday, which made it a bit of a slow day and still too early to enjoy the lake. I spent the day comfortably roasting my fat flesh in the comfortable sun. Got quite a burn from that experience. D: The people that I met were nice, but not many at that time being a week day and just before the normal season. I would like to go some weekend, but I work on the weekends being a balloon artist. I hope to drop in on some event and get a chance to meet more people there.

  My wife and I took our two dogs and rv to emerald lake resort this weekend. When we arrived the owner of the resort met us and let us into the gate. He then directed us to our rv spot. There was water and electric hookup. It was lightly raining when we arrived after hours. He said that he would leave us to get checked in before it started raining heavily and we could get checked in tomorrow. This is just a glimpse of how nice, trustworthy, friendly, and respectable everyone there are. The next morning we cooked breakfast, walked the dogs, then another gentleman got us checked in.   Nice place. Lake is nice, people were nice, hot tub good sized and overlooks the lake. We enjoyed our stay even though it was only one night.
