  • Updates for 2021 Spring start to the season on the cusp of Summer

    4.00

Still as awesome as always with patrons distancing themselves where possible and being it's a lot of the same people the bubbles are small and consistent . We just had an amazing stretch of sunny and decent temperatures, so it was a great way to start of the seasons pre tanning and reconnect with those who are regulars and to meet some newbies who've just discovered the lifestyle we all love and enjoy. Water is a bit on the chilly side, but many such as myself did the swims and dips when the days heat was just enough to coax us in. We always enjoy seeing and meeting new people who respect the…

    Pros: Great tanning spot!

Cons: Clouds and winds off the water.

  • Amazing little lake in Thetis lake park in View Royal near Victoria

Generally a regular group and new people all the time. A great mix of younger and older, straight, bi, gay and trans, very welcoming and inclusive. Has a small dock that holds about 50 on a busy day, and a small satellite dock one one side of the lake for swimmers and those wanting to just have some alone time. Very respectful and clean, and every now and again we do potlucks where we all bring in the Solstices or B-days etc.. Reminds me of my days at Wreck beach near Vancouver, but has a more intimate feel being everyone welcome to partake in the conversations and the chill vibe of this speci…

Pros: Depending on the day it can be a handful of people up to long weekends or super warm days where it's like a sardine can, but it's the community that makes the space and the laughter and friendly atmosphere that brings people back year after year.

Cons: Some who are antagonistic that just love to see if they can get a rise out of those who are just trying to enjoy their day. Rarely happens as the regulars make sure no one is bullied or made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

  • long time fan of Prior Lake

I've been to Prior many times in the last 30 or so years. It's a precious gem ... super natural British Columbia.

Pros: very private ; easy to get to from Victoria BC ; at some times of the day, very few people there

Cons: when it gets crowded it can be overwhelming with the chatter ; the end of the line was some gal chattering-away on her cell phone .. disturbing the peaceful-ness of the place. such bad manners are Rare. Parking spot can be hard to find on hot days

  • Had a lovely afternoon today.

    5.00

Enjoyed a nice afternoon sunning on the dock. We’re from out of town and it was nice to see what is clearly a tight community! Welcoming spot where the mrs felt comfortable. Everyday nudists rather than the more eclectic crowd that is the norm at places like wreck. The water was suffering from an algae bloom which is to be expected this time of year so we didn’t swim- don’t need to be ill for a wedding tomorrow! Will be back!

    Pros: Welcoming friendly people

    Cons: Water quality late summer.
