Red Rock Beach is a hidden gem
3.00It is a really nice spot to soak naked in the river on hot days, but there are so many bugs, even in the daylight, mostly horseflies, but also mosquitoes around 6pm as the sun hides behind the trees and eventually behind the ridge. Best time to go is anytime from 8am to about 5-6pm depending on the month of the year. There are also some people floating down the river but it does not affect me.
Pros: Wading low depth spot for children.
Cons: Bring some bug spray, you never know when you might need it. Don't lay down on your beach towel, keep moving.
