- Went for a double hike today. Part one was 3.5 miles with a creek and rock formations. And a clumsy, loud turkey. Walked back to the car nude and drive 12 miles to the next spot. Had to slow down to avoid hitting a hawk who wanted to fly for a bit just ahead of my windshield. Part two was 3.2 miles with flowers and a deer.
- Went for a combined almost 8 mile nude hike today. One parking lot with two forest preserves from it. The first part was 5+ miles while the second part was 2.5+ miles on the other side of the country road. Spots to overlook the forest with prairie and another at the river. Saw a couple deer, turkey vultures, a turkey, a woodchuck, a yellow-bellied sapsucker and the usual small woodland creatures and woodland and prairie birds.
- Went for a hike near Richland Center today. Almost 4 miles on the south side of the creek, moved the car, and then over 4 miles on the north side of the creek. No bridges over the creek. Saw two great blue herons, a couple turkeys, a couple deer, another doe with a fawn, cardinals, gold finches, butterflies, and heard quite the variety of song birds. And chatted with one very nice, older gentleman from the area when we crossed paths in my second half. (I was able to cover up before we got too close.)
- Went for a 7 mile hike today. Saw a deer, an owl, and two turkeys. Heard calls and songs of a variety of birds and saw some pretty flowers.
- Almost 80 degrees in southern WI yesterday, so I got out for some clothes-free mountain biking.
