Lake Edun, Kansas

Has anyone been there? We live in Arkansas and are thinking of giving it a try.

It's been a few years since I've been there, and they've made
improvements since, but it's basically just a campground with a
lake to boat/swim in. Nothing fancy. Every time I've been
there, everyone I've met has been super nice (which is rare for a
single guy). If you like places that are bare bones, you'll like
it. It is not a resort, so there are no amenities beyond the hot
tub (in the barn I think, never used it as I've always been there
in the summer when it's high 90's with near 100% humidity. The last
thing I wanted was a tub of hot water :) ). I think there
might be a soda machine next to the barn, but I don't recall for
sure.

They do have a solar shower to rinse off after your day is done.
Lots of trails to wander around on, the lake to swim in and a hand
full of various water craft to try your skill at. Two
beaches, a floating dock to swim out to, if you can gather the
people, there used to bea volleyball court, I assume it's
still there.

Thanks. We are a couple (MF 50,48). How many people/couples do you think are there on a typical weekend in July? We are thinking of heading there on July 22-24. How far to the nearest Starbucks? HA!

On a good sunny weekend day, it could be quite crowded.
