What is the underlying Purpose of Naturism/Nudism?

To be able to live life like you were designed to be from the start. Not covered with an artificial layer you were not born with.

Even though we were "taught" that food, clothing, and shelter are basic needs, my parents felt clothing was not necessary when we were at home. For me, nudity has always been normal and natural, while clothes are simply a requirement for being legally covered in public. I stopped wearing underwear when I was starting 6th grade and mom quit laying out my school clothes (shirt, pants, socks and underwear). Neither parent had a problem with me going commando
