keoughs hot ditch
Keough Hot Ditch is just south of Bishop on US395. Probably 5 miles or so South of bishop, you will see Keough Hot Springs Rd. There is a commercial springs on that road, but directly below it, under the High Voltage Electric Lines, you will find the ditch. It's a series of pool along a small stream. The commercial spring takes all the hot water until about 9pm. Then the diversion is closed and the water rises and flows hot through the ditch. It sometimes turns into a party spot on weekends. It can get pretty hot during the day, but nudity is the norm... Unless it's party night. Lots of passer thru's . It's a great spot to soak on your way to the high Sierra. Recommended!
