Soap Box.

Just a place to let off steam. I know we should look on the bright side, "glass half full" and all that, and I know it does work (up to a point) but I've always felt that all you optimists are really just kidding yourselves, and effectively putting your heads in the sand. Looking back over the last 30 or 40 years and seeing how the human race is developing, I can't help but...

My pet hates are biggots, People who do not take the time to understand anyone who is different before launching into them and judgemental people or those who think their way is the only way. It reminds me of a certain set of protestant "christians" who treat Roman Catholics as worse than the devil. Don't they remember Christ preached forgiveness not judgementalism. Think of Nelson Mandella, who got rid of the white minority government but saught to make peace with the whites. Time and again in the forums here I see members being castigated for a fairly simple, or even unavoidable, problem. Some go on about it in an endless 1000 word essay! So there is a ned for etiquet and there are rules for behaviour. But, for example, if any sign of sex is banned why are we asked for our sexual orientation (straight, gay ...)?
No doubt I'll be thrown out of this group for expressing such views. I'll try the one called "Tollerant Nudists"

RE: Pet Hates

Thanks for the advice, snugglebunny. I agree, TT1 has created a great site here and those who are just looking for sex can find another site that might siut them better. One of the great things about this site is it's flexibility and it's rich veriety. The groups and descussions have helped draw me out. Let's be carefull not to over-react and put a srait-jacket on it.
By the way, as an englishman Philfreee will know about the origins of soap-boxes and Speaker's Corner. They werecreated to allowspeakers to rail against the government of the day.Theygivea vent for free speach and are the origens of freedome of speech. Long maythey continue.
