Detoured by the Oregon wildfires. Our planned stay this past week at Willamettans near Eugene, OR, was a no-go as the entire area was being evacuated. I don't think their property was burned, but the fire maps show it was very close. Really hoping they all got out unscathed. As we headed south, I-5 took us through Phoenix & Talent. Both towns are basically gone. Seeing it for yourself is very different from that on the news... just wow! We continue south to Laguna del Sol...
