The battle of nudists trying to remove sexuality from nudism is the wrong fight for making nudism acceptable. Maybe this conversation should be about teaching healthy sexuality to our children and adults, then nudism becomes less taboo and sexualized overall. Then nudism becomes easier to understand, and then it is not always about being sexual.
