Just finished a nice 4 day sailing trip from Newport RI to Wrightsville Beach NC. Weather was nice until a cold front blew though while we were rounding Cape Hatteras. Winds got up to 40knots and seas were getting big. The sailboat is ocean going and 67’ long. We had a triple reef in the main (for non sailors, we made the largest sail have less area by rolling it up in the boom), and a stay sail up forward. Still did 10-12 knots thru the water. Still haven’t adjusted my body clock to normal time.
