I been on androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) for prostate cancer for a year now and have six months to go. Without the testosterone on which the cancer feeds, it should starve to death and eventually be gone which is the point of the drug. But there are side effects. An obvious one is my libido has crashed - expected, but hopefully will return once I am off this drug. Fatigue and hot flashes are also part of the deal along with many other side effects. I ‘ll be glad when this is over.
