Thanks for liking that photo on the hiking trail. The yellow flower is a lily, but I can't identify exactly what type in my field book. I'm in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California at about 7000 ft. of altitude. There is a natural spring at that spot that permits the lilies to grow profusely.
