I have many friends I don't talk with often, but they're still friends. I don't "collect friends," if you're on my list it's because we connected for a reason. Time alone is not the measure of friendship. This system works both ways. It's not only up to them to contact you. You can contact them. You are still my friend even if we only talk once every few years. Sometimes that's even sweeter. :-)
