I trim above and wax underneath. Waxing seems to pull the entire hair, doesn't leave any in the skin and on a thin scrotum it makes it feel soooo wonderfully soft and sensitive! I love it! I'm shaving rifht now because I've bought and started using an IPL machine to try and permanently kill off the hair around the penis and balls. It may have reduced hair thickness a bit I think after about 4-5 sessions. I'll keep at it with fingers crossed, but my hair is a light-ish colour so ultimately it may not be 100%
