I'm retiring from my current job this year after 25 years of service. While my official retirement date is Sept 26th, my last day working will be Aug 12. I will have 28 beautiful, lovely vacation days (and 1 personal day) to use before I'm done. The plan is to collect my state pension, and get a different job where I'm not a boss, and don't have to go in at 4:00 a.m. to do snow removal. And I have no cap on how much I can earn as long as I work in the private sector.
