K Keith @21finish · Sep 10, 2018 Spent a week at our favorite B & B on Anna Maria Island (east coast of Florida). Gulf water isnt good due to effects from red tide: smell, dead fish and green water. Went into the water the first day but it wasn't great -- then time in the pool of clean water. Finally some time out on the private garden area off our room. As the week progressed, the Gulf water got progressively worse with dead fish, turtles, manatees, etc. The green algae and red tide are creating havoc for almost everyone there.
