I begin radiation treatment for prostate cancer today. 28 treatments, 5 day a week for 5 1/2 weeks. I have been on androgen deprivation treatment for nearly two months now and my testosterone is nearly non-existent. Hot flashes are the main side effect but everyone is different. The trick to radiation treatment is to have a full bladder going into treatment so that my bladder expands enough to get out of the way of the radiation, but I can hold it until after the radiation treatment is over then go pee.
