You know what I like about mermen? They live naked and love the water like I do! This is in any adaptation you can find of them. People think they're only shirtless, but they're actually naked because the fish/marine mammal part is a natural part of their body. And I'm pretty sure mermaids are naked as well, as I doubt they have any reason to wear tops being underwater all the time. I'm actually surprised nudists don't reference merpeople or use them as representation/symbolism more often, we're both naked!
