I was wondering what peoples opinions were about being braless at work. I have been in my job (academic) for nearly a year now and decided from day one that I would continue to be braless. Ive noticed that its not very common at all so thought Id ask whether others also did it, or if others have seen it at work.
My previous student job was as a waitress. When I started this job I did wear a bra (only for work though) and after a while decided that it was silly to wear one specifically for work when I never wear one in my private life. I stopped wearing one for my bar job and I think that switching like this made it even more obvious. Thats why i decided for my current job to be braless from the beginning.
Any thoughts on the being braless at a working environment or if its seen as unprofessional etc. Would be great to hear.

Jul 10, 2019As long as you are comfortable with being braless at work, I say keep going to work braless.

I think its all in how it is presented. Such as not wearing a white tank top versus a t-shirt of button up that the material is just thick enough that it wont let your nips slice through it when a gentle breeze makes them hard.
Other than that you should be able to go braless or lingerie free as much as you want. Just my opinion.

Jul 10, 2019You should always be professional in that job. Being braless isnt being unprofessional unless you are hanging out and you are making it to where people able to see down your dress or blouse on purpose. I dont think you are doing it for anything other than to be comfortable. The same reason Im always commando, personal comfort.

Jul 10, 2019I think that as long as you enjoy going bra-less that it is fine.

Jul 10, 2019I went to your profile and if your pretty large nipples (sorry to be blunt) stand up and out like they do in your pictures (especially the 2nd picture) than I'm pretty sure they would be distracting to most young men. Don't get me wrong. I like the look myself and I think being natural is a great way to be. Now I don't know much about bras but do they make maybe a pasty or something to cover just your nipples to soften the look and you could still be braless? Maybe you should ask a colleague what they think. Again. Not trying to be condesending or anything.

Jul 10, 2019I think people need to get a grip and stop telling women what to wear. If a woman wants to go braless, then she should be able to do so, no matter what the reaction of the people who might see her will be. If a person is distracted, that is their problem, not the woman who is braless. If some old crone who looks like she has been sucking on lemons objects, that is her problem.
Personally, I love it when I see a woman's nipples poking through their attire. Own it! I say... Be proud of your hard nipples. It is the way God made you.

Jul 10, 2019I think it's ridiculous that a woman needs to even ask this question, it just shows how repressive our culture is. A bra is an invention by a man for a woman and we have made women think it is wrong to go without one. just the opposite is true, they are not healthy, they can cause restrictions in your glands that cause problems, and they have to be uncomfortable. You should be free to go braless and not worry about any repercussions, and maybe other women will see you and start to do the same.

Jul 10, 2019I completely agree. It's nobody's business but yours. My first wife never wore a bra. For her it was natural and nobody said anything about it. I like the natural look, no matter the size.

Jul 10, 2019I enjoy the support of a bra but at times I do enjoy the feeling of going without. If I'm at work and braless, I'll usually wear a top with a pattern on it so it's not completely obvious since it usually stays cold in the building during the summer.

Jul 10, 2019As I said before You have the most perfect Beautiful Breasts. You should go braless regardless of your profession. Show them babies off!!

Jul 10, 2019Choosing to not wear a bra at work sounds like an individual choice and shouldn't be a concern of anyone but you. If you choose to not wear one and you feel more comfortable that way then continue to not wear one.
ReactReply - PUJul 11, 2019
I believe it is a personal choice and as in your private life, shouldn't give it a second thought. I think it would be somewhat problematic if you were self-conscious about your body and any insecurities were to rear its head in your behavior. A good example is at a clothed beach when a woman is constantly adjusting her bikini. Or as you mentioned, when the noticeable switch occurred at the previous job.
Europeans are much more relaxed in this aspect than Americans and I would discourage you from making a change. It is much healthier to go braless and as a male I can't express enough how much we appreciate it too. I find it absolutely beautiful, not in a sexual way, when I see any woman with the confidence to go braless without a care on her mind!

Those who watch your breasts (with intention to enjoy or create problems) will do that regardless if you have a bra or not. So do what makes you more comfortable.

Hi Jayne. I admire your principles. It's a matter of personal choice and in a professional capacity it shows integrity conviction for what you believe in. I am sure there will be people who object but that's their problem. If more women did it it would cease to be a big deal.
I think some people will always be jealous of others and from your pictures that will be easily engendered in the insecure. You're hot! You have great boobs- they have to live with it (lucky them)!

Jul 14, 2019In my 57 years I have never complained about seeing a braless woman, or a wardrobe malfunction for that matter ;-) The only ones I ever heard complain, were other women. Which brings to mind an old saying.
Why would most women rather strip naked in front of a group of men, than a group of women? Because women tend to be critical, men are just greatfull ;-)

Jul 16, 2019More power to you.
It is the freedom for you to do it that is important to me.
I was recently in a hot southern part of Europe for work recently (with nearby naturist beach, so it is not an alien concept there) and a fairly senior manager came out of her office to talk to me and some others in a highly air conditioned office. It became very clear she was braless and the guys went quiet and stared at her. Now she is a very attractive middle aged lady of generous proportions.
I did too notice but kept eye to eye contact and smiling as we talked about work topics.
I am not sure my colleagues approved of her work wear, the lack of participation from them was embarrassing.I certainly noted her condition too and not just in the sense I liked to ogle at what she looked like and the very prominent points the AC had decided to make for her.
Fair play she ignored the others. She even came back to chat more socially to me from the next office when we were near the end of the day.
Treat a person fairly and show respect then they return that respect.
Ladies if you like you should be able to go braless wherever you want.ReactReply - NU
Jul 21, 2019Jayne if you feel more comfortable not wearing a bra then keep doing it who will be offended if you flash a bit of breast or nipple it's the same as men not wearing underwear it's what ever makes you feel comfortable.
ReactReply - FRJul 24, 2019
I much prefer the natural shape and movement of women's breasts and think a bra is an unnecessary piece of attire. As a man I can say we probably decided bra wearing would be a good thing for women to do. Women rebel - don't wear bras!!!

Jul 25, 2019My wife is really uncomfortable going bra-less in public. While she has small breasts, she has larger nipples and they are easily seen through most material. She is self conscious of that, and I dont blame her. I try to encourage her to because its more comfortable physically (what she tells me), but rarely will do it.
I definitely do blame men for why more women dont do it. But then I think women would be more prone to notice as well because of a judgy society.ReactReply - NU
Jul 26, 2019Jayne,
I may have answered your question before so forgive me if I am repeating myself.Going braless is your personal choice and if you feel comfortable it should not matter what other women / men think do go without knickers too it would make perfect sense to me if you did that.

Jul 27, 2019
I definitely do blame men for why more women dont do it. But then I think women would be more prone to notice as well because of a judgy society.
Maybe, But if it were common, it would be no big deal. I have worked with a number of women who went mostly braless. Yes I was fascinated at first because the natural shape and motion was so uncommon, but then with a bit of time it was no big deal. So IMHO women are partly to blame for keeping then bound up like a big secret that needs to be hidden ;-)ReactReply - CH

Sep 7, 2019From a man's point of view I definitely support braless women. I remember paying full attention to a lady chairing a works meeting obviously braless. Her freedom of movement and outstanding nipples definitely drew my attention. And men let their junk swing free when in boxer shorts or no shorts. But there may be a Health and Safety aspect. I saw a man walk into a lamp post as a braless lady approached him. And another stuck a fork in the back of his hand when dining opposite my braless girl friend.
