The closest I have come is when I had to go on for one of my actors in a production of Jeffrey I was directing. In one scene all I wore was a pair of men's bikini brief underwear and in another scen all I wore was a jock strap. I later directed a production of Love! Valour! compassion were almost every character appears naked at one time oranother in the show. I unfortunitly didn't have to go on for any of those actors.

The closest I ever got was appearing as an extra in the movie Born on the Fourth of July. I was a patient in a VA hospital, and the first day they put me in one of those hospital gowns that hang open at the back. One of the other actors was complaining that the directors wanted to put him in a scene where several patients were lying naked on gurneys while receiving enemas. I was dying to be in that scene, but alas was not picked.
I once wrote an opera that included a nude scene, but because it was being performed at a university, the director was squeamish about asking the students to appear nude and had them perform the scene in undergarments. I hope that someday it will be performed as written. So many lost opportunities!

May 23, 2009Yes, several times. First time it was during a show of several short plays. This one was about censorship and I was the Statue of David. I also did a skit about dress codes and noting some jobs, like nude art model, has a NO dress code.
I have also been nude in a few horror films. And some of those scenes are online.تفاعلرد - MA
Jun 5, 2009My first time on any stage was the lead in an innocent little comedy presented by my nudist club. It was called “Barely Proper”. It was designed to give outsiders a glimpse of the nudist life. Any nervousness, felt, was about the performance and how we would be perceived by the small audience. The fact that the audience was clothed and we were nude was not a consideration. I felt great the every time I got a good laugh from the audience. In some ways it was a life changing experience. I went from being somewhat quiet and shy to much more outgoing. I later took some acting lessons and appeared in community theater groups. I regretted that no additional nude parts were available since I was totally comfortable on stage without clothing.

Jul 5, 2009I recently (June "09) sang solo and naked, both for the first time, at the Eastern Naturists Gathering in Lenox, MA. Every year I have gone to ENG I have attempted to stretch my limits concerning nudity and my comfort with being nude. (I had terrible body image issues in my youth) Forth years ago was the last time I sang before an audience - in the chorus, and never solo. At ENG I sang "The Man in the Moon" song fromMameas a tribute to Bea Arthur. Originally I planned to go on stage wearing a semi-sheer floor-length caftan, and then put on a blue sheer robe when I sang the song. (also a pointed hat like Vera wears as the Lady Astronomer in the show) After practicing putting on the costume I decided to start naked and just put on the open-front robe and hat, which was much easier to do and gave me the opportunity to do my first naked performance before 400 people. I don't know if this counts as far as the poll is concerned. My audience was also nude. I don't think I'm ready to do this with a textile audience.تفاعلرد - JA
Jul 10, 2009I did play Horse in a production of 'The Full Monty'. My co-workers came out to see the show and had a blast. Would welcome a chance to be nude again on stage. Now, the audience for my nudity are the artists and sculptors I model for.

Oct 23, 2009I'm curious...which version of "Barely Proper" did you do? The original, or an update?
Thanks!تفاعلرد - MA
Nov 3, 2009
I'm curious...which version of "Barely Proper" did you do? The original, or an update? Thanks!
As far as I know it was the original as preformed in Florida prior to our production at the Ponderosa Sun Club in Roselawn, Indiana. This was back in the early 1970's. If memory serves me correctly the original title was "Grin and Bare It. I'm afraid that I am too old to play Derek Leet but I was never comfortable with that character name, anyway. LOLتفاعلرد - WE
Nov 5, 2009Macnude-- Thanks for the update. "Grin and Bare It" was actually the revision of "Barely Proper" that played on Broadway(!). The original "Barely Proper" has been revised many times by many different people...sometimes updating it, shortening it, etc. I have a copy of the original play, as well a revision, but I'm always on the lookout for others. If you know someone who might still have a copy of "Grin and Bare It," I would love to get my hands on it....Thanks!تفاعلرد - MA

As to a copy of the old script, I doubt that one is available from my old group. I did one revision of my own. Never liked the line " No Leet ever funked anything." I switched it to "Frieda, what if it? what if I?" spoken while pointing at my crotch. I wrote her response as, "Just relax Derek, and I'm sure the problem won't come up." This never failed to bring down the house.تفاعلرد - ععضوFeb 7, 2010
I appeared in Naked Boys Singing Off-Broadway for a year in 2007. Great time. Lots of fun!

Aug 4, 2010Yes, in Alan Ayckbourn's "Relatively Speaking," in Atlanta in 1976. The role of Greg, the juvenile protagonist, required me to be briefly nude at the top of the show. This was in dinner theatre, with the audience on all 4 sides of the stage!

Nov 27, 2013When I was at University I was the Parson in Edward Bond's THE FOOL. He is stripped naked by a group of local people. Being set upon and stripped by a group of people was not pleasant - especially as they seemed to rather get it.
Once I was naked it was fine - not a problem being in front of an audience of peers naked.تفاعلرد - NU

Years ago, I painted an entire marble set for a review--turned up the heat and painted in the nude all night! And I got great press & an honorable mention for the design! (before there were awards in that region)
Now, I'm working in a theatre where I'm usually always nude working. As the Lighting Designer--I'm usually hanging the lights in the buff. It's cooler in the ceiling that way! This theatre is known for onstage nudity, so it's not that 'OMG' that I'm nude if someone walks in!
Next we're doing "Making Porn". It's about a straight & married hunk in San Fran (in the 80's) that starts doing gay porn to make ends meet. Then his wife finds out, and she's more into it than he is! Lots of Onstage Nudity! :-) We're doing the read-thru this week--I've told the producer that I'm there--but totally buck-naked. He said "sure"! (He's also in the show--and will be naked 1/2 the time. But since it's an Equity contract for the actors--I'll be the only naked one for the read-thru. Rules are rules!)تفاعلرد - NU

Oct 19, 2015Did anyone, by any chance, see (or perform in) Lake Edun's 2005 production of "No Sex, No Violence ... Only Nudity"? Thanks!

Nov 15, 2015Not so much on stage as on film. Tonight I saw myself larger than life at the Leeds International Film Festival in front of a near capacity audience. The film is called Traveling Light and records NEWT 2014, when I and a lot of other nudists went hiking in the Austrian Alps. The film director/producer said afterwards that it will be shown at other film festivals.تفاعلرد
