I would like to keep this thread going and update it regularly. The idea here, is as a reference. Texas is a big state and it might be helpful to have a thread that tells what is going on at any particular beach or resort. I'll do Riverside Ranch as an example.

Porter Emerald Lake Nudist Resort
In Porter Texas, about an hour and a half north of Houston. We just spent a night there on Sunday/Monday (Oct 5/6, 2008) Nice lake. Fish, wildlife, sandy beach. Outdoor showers, big hot tub on deck on side of lake and another one in the club house. They did get some damage from Hurricain IKE, but are working to repair everything. All in all a nice stay and really close to a wal-mart and Kroger.
thanks

Jul 23, 2011For the last 35 yers we have been going too the National Sea Shore . When you go in proceed down the beach too the 4+4 part. Down about 17 mi is where we go however we have been nude all over ,both sides of the Mansfield cut . It is NOT LEGAL but you would have too be a fool too get caught. You can see down and up the beach for miles and when someone is coming get in the water or cover up . Even on weekends you sometimes go for 2-3 hrs with out seeing anyone. The longest is a time during the week that we were down there with another couple and it was 5 i/2 hrs ! Have fun !!

May 11, 2012Doug, it is legal also in my 300 acre back yard between Houston and Austin. LOL

May 11, 2012Txrunnerchic, I have heard Crystal Beach is secluded enough. After crossing on ferry to Boliver you take the beach access turn and go back towards ferry a couple of miles. I haven't been there in years but have been wanting to make it back to there.

May 11, 2012How about Central TX? We live in Waco and would like to find a place that is closer than the two plus hour drive to most resorts in the state.ReagierenAntworten - WA
May 12, 2012and it is also legal in my 2 acre place in the hill country by Canyon Lake/Guadelupe RIVER (between San Antonio and Austin)!!!ReagierenAntworten - MIMitgliedMar 19, 2014
Are we going to get an invite to go to your place this year? :)

I ended up going to High Island area (way down the beach 4x4) spent three days camping naked on the beach. I was a great time. Meet lots of people coming and going by. Had to sleep in car or mosquitoes netting due to night bugs, flies, mosquitoes. I am going to go back again this year a few time. I will take a 'thong' this time just in case the "law" drives by. I was told it would be a good idea.

I can see that in order to meet some other fine folks. I might have to visit some pay clubs around the area. The ones you talked about in here sound like a good start. See you there.

Mar 28, 2014Just an FYI to all interested. There's a nude 5k fun run at Star Ranch in McDade, TX on April 12th.ReagierenAntworten - JE
Jun 9, 2014Just so everyone knows...We visited Emerald Lake Resort, Porter, Tx. on Memorial Day weekend. We camped out in a tent and the train noise was horrible. Every couple hours the trains would scream by and rudely wake us up.That being said, it is a very nice resort with a lovely lake and many friendly people. But if you visit, don't camp out in a tent. Rent a cabin instead.
WAIT! You are telling me that it is Not Against The Law to be nude in National Parks because there isn't a National/Federal law prohibiting nudity as long as the place is run/taken care of/expenses paid for by the government? The rule being (which I would hope we all abide by) is not being lewd. Am I understanding correctly? If so, I have been missing out on a lot of nude experiences because of my belief in a law that doesn't exist. Let the nude-times role! Yee-Haw!!ReagierenAntworten - NA
I believe (and I'm not a lawyer, so take that into account :-) that in the absence of federal law, the rangers can and do enforce the state laws. Theoretically, in Texas, that means non-lewd nudity is OK if you're careful not to do it in front of people who could be offended, but in practice you'll almost always get an indecent exposure or disorderly conduct charge which you're welcome to contest in court. The nice rangers/cops will give you a warning to cover up the first time they see you, but if somebody else complains they'll almost certainly arrest you.ReagierenAntworten - JI
