She eventually replied with the answer that all new users are now issued with a default username such as the name which you listed above. It is up to the individual user to allocate their own username if they wish too. Personally I don't like the default username option as they give the impression that this site is full of spammy profiles all with similar usernames.

  In the first 3 weeks of Feb 2024, this page has flagged a further 526 fake profiles so far this month. That's on top of the 630 flagged in January 2024.
  This site still attracts way too many fake profiles.

However, that takes away one clue as to fake profiles. And yeah, it looks like spam.
