I don't normally post anything on threads that discuss penis size. I guess it's because I'm a bit self-conscious, feeling somewhat uncomfortable about discussing it with others as it's a personal thing. But I have a funny story that I thought I would relate that you all might enjoy.
First of all I'll comment on age. I'm 61 and I haven't noticed any difference. Perhaps that's because I occasionally spend time in my garage working out with my Universal gym and my free weights. I'm not obsessed with it but I do try to exercise regularly and I think that helps keep me youthful.
As a late bloomer, I was chided in high school and always had a self-consciousness about being small. Even to this day I still somewhat feel that way even though I know better. Amazing how things from the past can alter your perspective of yourself for so many years and affect your body acceptance.
My ex-wife was only 4 ft 8. Her inability to acceptall of me was something I considered to be because of her size rather than mine. The stigmatism from my youth always made me feel I was a less endowed.
While in my thirties, before my vasectomy, I used condoms for birth control. I never liked the feel but it was a necessary evil, they were so restricting. After shopping for a while I found a brand called Fourex. They were made with natural membrane which seem to feel so much more natural and it changed everything.
We had a couple that lived next door to us and the husband and I were having a conversation about condoms one day. I was explaining to him about this brand that I had found that felt so wonderfully natural and he should give them a try.
Several weeks later I happen to be conversing with his wife and she commented to me that her husband had tried out the condoms I suggested. She giggled when she said he couldn't get it to stay on as it just kept falling off because it was so big! She seem to look at me differently after that.
He and I conversed about it later, he told me he bought them and ask me how I keep those things on! I just told him I didn't have a problem with that, he just responded with a half-hearted grin not sure what to think. After that I felt bad wondering if it affected his self-esteem. I truly had no idea.
As time went on during conversations , his wife would occasionally make innuendos and chuckle.
I think that was the first time I realized that I was probably larger than average and the meaning of the name Fourex!

I had prostate surgery this past Summer since cancer had been detected. Fortunately it was confined to just the prostate itself. My penis has definitely shrunk since then, I think others comments all have some validity explaining why, such as shortening of urethra, decreased hormone levels, etc.
As part of a follow-up after the surgery, I met with another Doctor who specializes in impotency. He went down a list of possible remedies. For some of us who have exhausted all possibilities, there is a new Treatment that has an almost 100% success rate in making boners, which is great! Only problem (which makes some guys shy away from it) is that it involves an injection into the penis. Although the idea makes me cringe, I expect to be meeting with him sometime in January for a preliminary evaluation . Apparently they inject the patient's penis n the initial office visit, in order to determine the size of dosage required. The patient is given a tutorial to be sure he can stick a needle into his penis and is sent home with a supply of needles and boner serum.
As of this writing, I plan on pursuing this new treatment, will keep the Group posted on how it goes.
l use that injectable stuff ('trimex'). works well for me. my problem is it lasts a little too long. my doctor wanted to do an implant but that sounds horrible to me. l'm a 'grower' & that would never have been anything near my normal length.
