I think the reason is because if somebody is bi or their own sex and the same sex as you and they want to meet up with you and the meet goes ahead you will be watching more closely if he/she in only interested in your body.I think that's a little bit cockeyed ... whatever your orientation, I doubt you check out every body you see ... or maybe I'm just being naive. :-)

Among other things, this is a social site and one of the profile questions asks if you are here for dating. Is it that difficult to understand that if some people are here for dating opportunities knowing the sexual orientation of others is needed?
