Why is a naked body viewed by the general public and especially the media so shocking , I dont understand ?

I like to be naked as much as I can , it just feels liberating , I just dont understand how in the 21st century people are shocked by seeing a naked person , whenever there are naked people the media warns everyone of Xrated stuff going on . It seems crazy to me . We all have naked bodies , why can it so offend people , it really pisses me off that someone can get offended by seeing someone else naked , it doesnt make sense. Naturists are some of the nicest people I have met . Naturism is not porn , its about freedom , why are we so hung up about it? Any ideas?

I think it's got a lot to do with having people be ashamed of their bodies and not loving themselves.

It's taken me a long time to accept my naked body, but I'm finally there, I think.

It's also the fashion and clothing manufacturers marketing by telling everyone they should "look your best" per their definition. While in reality they are just selling decorations that hide how people look their best. By hiding in clothes except for protection and people thinking nudity is wrong we are just saying God's creation is bad and should be hidden. I don't think we really have the right in God's eyes to say that.

Much blame lies with the moronic masturbators like the ones on here, hell bent on spreading their perverted crap throughout the nudist world. Until we rid society of these jerks, nudism will never be accepted as the norm.

That is not it. On a segment of the TODAY SHOW just now they were speaking about it being National Nude Day. The ladies went past asking around if anyone wanted to go to a nude beach or nude club (the resounding answer being "over my dead body"). From there they started to speak about lockerooms at the gym.

The women said they felt that seeing a nude at the sink, blow driving her hair was just wrong. Once should get dressed before walking around the lockeroom. Being forced to see others nude was an invasion of their space.

Now, while I find it absurd that these women object to nudity in a lockeroom, you will note this has nothing to do with masturbation, porn, or anything similar. Since the general public never visits a site like this, or goes into a nude chatroom, they don't even realize some like to "show off" or masturbate on cam. Their objection is to basic nudity.

Sex sells.

A few years ago a couple of Australian topless dancers/strippers on a cultural exchange were sponsored (really!) to go perform at one of the culturally-deprived outer islands off Tahiti. The community dutifully turned up (with, as usual in such crowds, a few naked kids and nursing mothers.) They watched the show, as the strippers tried harder and harder to create excitement over their performance - twirling tassels, you get the idea. The audience was simply embarrassed for them, and completely failed to get the point.

You have to first steal something from someone before you can sell it back to them.

Very interesting. This really shows how society has ingrained stupid ideas in people while other remote cultures have not had sex=nudity ingrained and view things very differently.
