Yes squats & lunges are great. There are quite a few variations on the squat exercise , with weights and without. But cycling and walking ( at a good pace, not a leisurely stroll) are great too. Most leg exercises are good.

Yes I do a variety of squats and lunges. I'm getting excited to learn that it's improving my posture. I have a slight post-anterior tilt where my lower back and groin are pulled in. Now it's becoming more straight which makes me a more natural stuff-strutter.
