First Lager Brew

I brewed a Czech Lager on Tuesday, with fermentation appearing twelve hours later. I put it in the fridge and it looks like I may have stalled out on my fermentation. Specific gravity is at 1.030 or 1.82% ABV. Patience is not my strong suit. On the good side the sample looks great, nice color and tastes pretty good. We will see..

Fermentation should take up to a month. Give it time. Or pitch more yeast. Hoping it comes out as hoped.

A miracle happened. My kegs all kicked last night, so my kegerator was empty. I adjusted the temp to 50F and put the lager in the kegerator. Fermentation resumed! There was bubbling and there was much dancing and rejoice!

I kegged the first lager yesterday. It is quite good, so I started a second lager today. The first was brewed with Saez hops, this one will be more German with Hallertau hops. The recipe called for thirty days to hit final gravity. It took twenty nine days. We're keeping up with the quarantine.
