I liked your post regarding BLM , but want to offer a thought. Saying that you will support BLM when they include brown people is a common but puzzling sentiment. It is sort of like saying that I will support the breast cancer society when they admit that testicular cancer is just as bad.
In fact, the movement does include and reach out to all people of color. In America the problem faced by African Americans is shared by all Americans to varying degrees. Bad policing affects all of us. It is just easiest to see in the stark difference between the way that white and black defendants are treated.
For at least the 3rd time... I don't care if it's BLM, Jews for Jesus, Blue Lives Matter, Trump... whatever / whomever... a National Organization should remain non political... enough said... as a person believe/support whatever or whomever... if it was support Trump... I'd complain too... probably louder!!

Thanks for pointing this out. I see the focus of BLM is on policing. The media made it a political/partisan issue to vilify and discredit the protesters, which in turn shfts the focus away from policing. Perhpas a better name would be "the lives of people of color and others with non-normative backgrounds whom experience outright discrimation matter and they deserve respect and justice to the same degree as white suburbanites experience" but that gets a bit much to say, wouldn't you agree? The earlier expression of taking a knee by professional athletes was a peaceful demonstration and was also vilified. How can it be considered disrespectful when kneeling to someone or someone is a traditional sign of respect? And if flags are so important, why are no complaints made for people who alter the colors or adorn them with names, faces or slogans for political reasons against the flag code?
I was skeptical myself of police discrimination until my colleague got arrested and put in jail for driving while black in Washington DC. He was African-Swedish on business for the Swedish Embassy. It was traumatic for him but he had it easy after the Embassy called their lawyer and he was quickly released. The experience made me realize 1) it COULDN'T have happened to me and 2) the PREJUDICE against people of color (he doesn't call himself black or brown, just Swedish with an African father) is REAL regardless of support from attorneys and diplomats.
If black lives don't matter, neither does mine, neither do any of ours and we're all screwed.

Perfect! I agree with you! People who do not live in the United States bolstering opinions with half truths and half facts! If I came at you with a knife in a crazed state of mind with intent to do you SEVERE bodily harm....what would you do?
I don't understand anything. Who doesn't like in the US? Who is crazed with a knife? Where are you coming from? What are you talking about?
I want to question the comment that the naturist society should stay out of political discussions. I do not assume that the member who said this is racist or intends to deny the idea that Black Lives Matter. I believe that endorsing policies or movements that promote tolerance and diversity are very much in support of nudist values. We are at most a social minority in need of protection. Many people would say that nudists are an annoying fringe group that threatens public safety and morality. (We nudists understand how fear and ignorance drive that foolish idea.).
Defending the safety of black and brown nudists is certainly in support of the core mission. No informed person can deny that America does not behave as if Black Lives matter as much as White lives. ( Do some thoughtful investigation before you oppose this statement. ) Bringing the idea to all corners of society is the way to make it true that all lives matter to all of us.

ANY national organization should work to stay non-political and true to their stated GOALS / Mission STATEMENTS... Again, no need to rehash who believes what and who matters and who doesn't. For the 5th time now... DON'T care if it is JEWS for Jesus, Abortion on Demand, Young Republican Women's Club, Support Nancy Pelosi, or The TRUMP train supporters... A NATIONAL - nudist organizations sole (ONLY) focus should be nudist rights, places nudist can gather to meet like minded people - - BLM could give a damn if The Naturist Society supports them or not... the article was poorly placed and poorly timed... like it or not 50% love TRUMP / 50% love BIDEN - - neither party has done a DAMN thing to help nudist have more places to go or FREEDOM to express oneself - - so let's move on!! IF you feel like supporting TNSF - please do... to me ALL NUDIST lives matter... but haven't heard much from BLM now that we've had an election - - maybe the police quite shooting / or maybe they were a political tool.... don't care - - love is love and NAKED is wonderful!!
