I have no problem with that definition. That's because there's a distinct element of sexuality in it. Same for a woman flashing her tits.
I don't think I made myself clear about exhibitionism. For me, it encompasses any attempt to call attention to oneself, like the kid whizzing past you on a bicycle saying "Look at me! No hands!" And I think that it is a component of any performer. Ask any singer or actor if they get a thrill out of being the center of attention and being applauded, and they're probably lying if they deny it. It's an adrenaline rush.
But you are right about the sexual component being a part of what we call "exhibitionism" in nudist environments. I guess there's a distinction between "overt exhibitionism"... dick wagging or boob flashing... and "closet exhibitionism" where a person gets a thrill out of having others see them naked, but doesn't display that thrill and acts just like anybody else. I've met a few of these people, and they admit it when asked about it, but I don't have a problem being around them as long as they keep it to themselves.
So nudism and the "closet" version of exhibitionism are not mutually exclusive, the way nudism and "overt exhibitionism" are. I think I see a distinction where you don't.
