How can locker rooms be more safe and comfortable for all ages?

There tends to be a divide between older men, who grew up with social nudity, and younger men who did not. What's a way for everyone to feel more comfortable at whatever their habits and self-consciousness are? When it comes down to it, I don't think younger men are any more ashamed of nudity than older having some "dick agenda." But at the end of the day, we can all learn from each other. But how?

I definately think most become more comfortable with who they are both physically and mentally as they get older. There is lower peer pressure and much more acceptance of what things are. Call it 'Grown up' if you like. I know I am much happier to be naked now publicly than I ever was.

I feel like north Americans really struggle with this locker room nudity...like it is a big deal some how. Here everyone just gets nude and gets on with their life. It is not that big of deal and it is intergenerational, dads with their kids and high schoolers and up to seniors. It is not really a big deal here and no one really debates it. I think it is an interesting topic intellectually only because North Americans seem to have so many issues with so many topics besides nudism.

People will follow the lead they see. Thats why it is important to lead by example. If you just casually and normally get changed, shower, dry off, get dressed, whatever and its not a big deal others will follow suit. Many guys arent scared just cautious. Once they know they can be comfortable they will follow suit.

Last week I was headed into the lock room and I encountered two younger guys, on two different occasions, who were coming out of the showers completely nude and didnt seems phased. One guy looked over at me and I gave him the head-nod and got one back as I began to undress out of my work clothes and into workout gear. Haha. Thats all it takes.

I agree 100% - lead by example, be natural, be yourself, respect the environment and participate appropriately. If the establishment request toweling up in certain areas - I towel up. If there are no directives I don't - we are all men, we are in a locker room to dress, undress, shower, sauna and relax. Sometimes the locker room is the only time to decompress from the world - I take advantage of the quiet time. Being older, I feel it my mission to let the younger embrace the joys of just that - being safe with other men. Cheers from Maryland, USA

I think as long as those who are comfortable being nude around others especially in the locker room should continue to do so. The younger guys will follow suit as they probably just need to see someone nude for them to do the same., that is how I started when I was younger. Many younger guys I think want to get nude around other guys especially in the locker room as its a normal thing to do. I think they just need to see it being normal for them to do the same.
