Nudity is legal in UK

To be totally clear nudity is legal in UK given some restrictions which for recreational naturism are always met.

This is all covered in documents agreed with the police by British Naturism (BN).

Sites:
https://www.bn.org.uk/files/file/739-legal-guides-public-place-naturism/
https://library.college.police.uk/docs/nudity.pdf

See the first two columns on page two of the Police College document.

Actions which are described as passive (sunbathing, walking, cycling,...) and the nude person is not intending to cause distress are legal and require the call handler to tell the complainer that no action is needed. It is not a matter of the complainer being distressed - it is what the nude person intends that matters.

Too often call handlers do not know the law and pass it on to police and then the Police don't know the law.

Until these errors by police are called out, we will not get our rights to be nude in these passive situations.

BN campaigns tirelessly and defends members successfully. Police do tend to make things up and fail to apply the Police College guidelines.

Oh damn, that's super cool!
I mean, not the call handlers or cops not knowing the law part, just that you all have that ability.

US is so damn far behind on so many things. Probably will stay that way beyond my lifespan. So many people here are so backwards (to put it mildly) in their world views and want everyone else to be just as terrible as they are.
