RE: Suggestive nicknames

big_D_sweet_P .. first thing i thought was big Dick and sweet Pussy..now, you can accuse me to have nasty thoughts..yes, they are certified if that means something..
Steady on Wall, I think you're getting a bit paranoid. That's a lovely profile and I certainly would not read anything into it. they're probably Dave & Patricia :)
Remember, don't be
be

Phil.
iyes, big Dave and sweet Patricia..what a coincidence:)
Well that's the point, it could be just that, I could well be wrong, but I don't think it is SO obviously suggestive, as to be worth getting upset about. ......someone else say something! ......please!

Phil.

Something.

Okay, all joking aside - name choices can be like pictures - grey areas. What sounds suggestive to one person, can be totally innocent to the next. There is a BIG difference in blatantly tantalizing names and innocent nicknames. Having an uncle named Dick, I never would have thought twice about BareDick being any body other than a nudist named Dick. Sorry Wall-E but never would have looked at Big_D, Sweet_P as anything even remotely suggestive. Some of the other names that have come up on this thread - pretty much no brainers as to what they're trying to get across (Pussylicker? Really?) It's pretty sad, but look at the source, don't accept their invitations as friends, with names like those, they'll eventually do something, post something, say something that will get them banned from this site.

Just keep in mind, what sounds suggestive to one person, can be totally innocent to the next. LOL, take it from one who knows and we absolutely refuse to change our screen name, we just ignore the ones who read something into it that was never there to begin with.

Ok everyone...take a deep cleansing breath through your nose, now let it out slowly through your mouth smiling while you do it. Better?

I am already feeling good.I think we are talking about same things in different ways.i still think that nickname is suggestive but i didn't say it was offensive. we can judge about people considering their behaviour and only then we can find out are they Dave and Patricia or something else. I appologize to that couple for taking their nickname as example.in my language "suggestive" means that it reminds you to something but it doesn't means thatit is itactually. maybe i should stop posting here...obviously my english isn't good enough to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts. by the way, i would love you to read my thread and tell me if i made a mistake. nobody yet left any comments , i guess because it wasn't posted as a question. i would really love to know your opinion because i appreciate it.

Wall-E, your english is excellent. Don't stop posting just because I may have misinterpreted your tone! LOL the forum is a place for everyone to share their opinions, thoughts and ideas. EVERYONE here, at some point or another, is going to be misunderstood regardless of what their native language is. The cleansing breath was also for me. And not because of anything you necessarily said. We have had one or two lewd remarks made about our screen name which has made me a little sensitive to the issue.

RE: Suggestive nicknames

What might have happend if Dick Trickle hadn't been alowed to race just because of his name ?
( for those that don't know, google the name and NASCAR )
Or how about Cha Cha Muldowney ? Where would one draw the line ?
Having said that, the users themselves could use a *little* discretion.

Well Dave, I am more of the shoot first category, hehe, you only have to look at society to-day to see what the live and let live attitude has produced .....
Of course if the 'live and let live attitude' is revoked one has to wonder how quickly nudist facilities would be forced to close by the 'moral majority' acting on their own cognitive distortions. Hmmm?

RE: Suggestive nicknames

I understand and agree in some ways with both sides of this argument. That being said, I think that people should be allowed to use suggestive names. It's kind of like asking that stupid people wear signs around their necks that say "I am stupid". Wouldn't it be convenient to the rest of us to know that up front? I am also reminded of an old saying. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

RE: Suggestive nicknames

Judging and censoring others because of their (Interpreted)choice of 'suggestive profile names' used shouldn't be used alone to cause concern. When photos and text back up the suggestiveness, that's when someone might take action to flag the profile. Starting a new level of censorship will lead to more and more and more levels, and we'll all eventually be so wrapped up in what's PC on here vs. promoting the one thing we all believe and have in common, the right to be liberated and 'free' to be nude. This type of censorship reflects the problems that nudists are having with being nude legally, publicly, and openly within our societies. Where would it end? how restricted would we eventually get here? Would everybody have to eventually be fully clothed and standing like bowling pins in each and every pic so that nobody will have absolutely any objections to anything on this site. Judge the book by it's content, not the cover. Now read what I said carefully before jumping in front of the horse, I'm not contradicting what I've posted before.

I agree and I am beginning to see a pattern here in the forums and bulletins, which is the amount of time, talent, and energy dealing with issues that take the focus off what this site is about. I am sure there will always be problems with what people see as "intentions" of others but if we start to apply sub-levels to the rules we will spend time only on the verbage and not on what the site should be about.
The site is free to us and the "owner" of the site has chosen not to micro manage it. It would require a team of sub administrators to do it and as I see it, the "owner" has chosen not to put that in effect. Self-policing is effective up to a point and in chat I have seen total disregard for the rules stated for chat. Until there is a person in chat who is given a "hammer", (the ability to not flag but ban the person from chat for a few minutes or whatever the punishment would be, we have to deal with it.
I say lets be positive, try to obey the rules and have fun. Let's thank the TT1 for giving us free access to the site and hope for improvements to address these issues in the future. My two cents.
