I was a single dad raising my son nudist. He saw my morning wood everyday. He grew up knowing thats normal, and not wondering if something was wrong like I did. Couldn't talk to my parents about sexual matters, they changed the subject without answering me.

Naturism/nudism is univocally the best way to bring up kids, bar none!!! It counters many of our sexist, patriarchal society's ills, like sexism, misogyny, chauvinism, body insecurities, body phobias, body shaming, the objectification and sexualization of the female gender, etc., It is also a great sex educational tool!!!

I totally agree SueBeeHoney. It's not about sex or power or branding/labelling. It's actually empowering and freeing.

In answer to the post that mentions defecating...
Perhaps if you want to be a mountaineer. Near the top of Everest in a howling blizzard, they perch over a can lined with plastic, right there in close quarters with their climbing mates. You cannot go outside bare-arsed at -40 degrees, and you sure as hell don't get a tent each.
Growing up on a farm, I have seen so many animals defecating that it is just a fact of life. Dogs, cats, sheep, horses, goats, chickens, cattle and rabbits. All slightly different, all fascinating until you know what happens. The distending sphincter, the defecating and a range of sphincter closure methods for a clean finish.
I don't have a desire to view humans doing this, but if I have to, it is a normal bodily function and should draw no comment other than for the odour perhaps.

Sorry, very new to nudism myself. So men have to be escorted by women in nudist spaces? That seems pretty exclusionary in many ways, as you pointed out with single fathers.

Thats not the case everywhere. Unfortunately stoneandy has had bad experiences trying to visit some nudist resorts in the Midwest. The resorts I by myself or me and my wife together have visited we have not run into the problems hes had and Ive seen single dads with their kids. But those resorts are in California and Florida not the Midwest.

But what about gay fathers? This type of exclusion seems pretty disrespectful and is practically gate-keeping social nudism. Another question, directed toward the person I quoted, how is it disrespect and condescending behavior to men based on the belief that men are inferior to women? Are you only talking about single fathers not being included in nudist resorts or is there more to it?

I am speaking for myself as a single Midwestern dad and see such gate-keeping policies are equal opportunity discrimination for men of all ages, races and orientation. It's a quota system where only women are always welcomed. I personally understand the need to be selective but not discriminatory. Why not post policies online stating all visitors are subject to background checks? Or require people to watch a video about appropriate behavior? Rather than instilling positive nudist values, nudist venues (at least in the Midwest) come across as cliquish with a chip on their shoulder. Until organizations like ANR take the lead with equality standards that their member venues must adhere to, landed resort nudism is a becoming a small niche market limited to places like Florida and California. Those are states where trends should start, not to retire and die.

AANR is just as guilty of discrimination. My husband and I would have to join as two single members while an unmarried man and woman can join as a couple.
