50 Plus Nudists

A group for nudists 50 years old or more. A place to discuss issues concerning nudism, past experiences, new directions, plans for your future ... most anything that strikes the veteran nudist's interest. BLANK, PARTIALLY filled out or PRIVATE profiles will not be allowed to join ... unless you contact me first. Thanks for your understanding.

Its so nice to be able to chat and share information with other cpls in the same age group. We are in Bedford, Va. and its getting to cold to keep enjoying the nude outdoors so just have to enjoy it indoors now until next year. Its been so nice chattin with others here so thank u....linda and jim

RE: Mature nudists

Nice to have you here and contributing to the group.
I think it's a good idea to have groups for nudists of certain ages to go into and discuss issues that pertain to that specific demographic. We don't always agree and sometimes, we mature nudists can be stubborn and set in our ways but so much of what we face, so much of what concerns us, doesn't make much sense to the younger generations.
I think it's also good that both demographics are allowed to visit each other's group and read what's being said and what some of the concerns are within the younger nudists and the mature nudists. I enjoy reading what the younger nudists have to say and try and get a perspective on what they are thinking and what they are looking for in nudism.
Again ... I appreciate you being part of the group and contributing to discussions!

Ah you youngsters! At 70+ I've decided to live life while I can. No more of those hang-ups that younger people have - carefree and happy to try any new experience. As they say - how do you know if you like or dislike something until you try it?

Are you implying that we aren't living life while we
can? How do you know we aren't trying something
new, living new experiences, trying new things... ?

At 64 years of age, I'll gladly be called a youngster ... it's
better than the alternative! hahahaha ;-)

I think the first post is pretty cool. Be able to chat with others in your age group, who can more relate because they have lived the same experiences in life. As Nudists it just makes it even better. Pretty cool. But one part of the post makes me so sad."Chatting with other couples". I see and experience this a lot. Couples who are friendly and polite but that hint of aloof towards singles.I remember when I was married. All our friends were couples. Singles were taboo. Being single is like the flu and could spread and we all could catch it. I am divorced and single, going on 10 years now, and all during that time and in the future I have been searching, and will be searching, for my Nudist Soul Mate. Very hard to find but I'm on a quest and won't give up the search. So for now I'm single. Yah, "That Guy". The one of many in the list in Main Chat who has a profile that shows single. That guy who you see at the club who is at the other end of the pool kind of back away from the main group.....the quiet one. So my point is thrown out to couples. Single people are the same as people who are couples. We like to chat and interact with others too.

For me/us, it's the persons personality, their posts, their philosophy on nudism, their picturesin their profile, groups they join. All of that comes into play when I friend someone or request friendship from someone.
Sure, this is the internet and you can be whoever you'd like but those I friend have a consistent element to their involvement here and if you see a pattern where you think you might mesh with a single male or female ... or even a couple, then we take the next step and begin a conversation. I don't chat, so the conversations are via messages. After some conversation ... then we decide if we want to friend one another.

Do agree with the posts in this thread. It is important to have some shared experience and common problems when having a discussion. We also have a sense of history - nudist and otherwise. I look at the topfree movement online and I remember the topfree movement that was in upstate NY years ago and was responsible for the laws that make it legal to go topless in NY state.

RE: Mature nudists

I can relate to some of your experiences and add my own. I have been married and/or involved with women who were at first amused by my being a nudist and then decided it was too strange for them to get used to. My convictions cannot change, and I have not been shy about my nudism. I wouldn't want to believe in something I have to hide. I've been this way far too long. I would love the company of like minded people, male or female. After all, people of a feather flock together.

RE: Mature nudists

Being a single nudist male is truly one of the things I can't relate to. I've been so fortunate to have my GF/Wife live as a nudist right beside me our entire lives together. We did have a set back with social nudism while she struggled through menopause but we just reverted back to home and backyard nudism for about a year and a half.
If I were in some of your bare feet, and something happened to my wife, I'm fairly certain I'd take the approach above and continue living my life and if I'm fortunate to find a woman that also shares my love for nudism, great. If not, well ... I'd just keep trying. At this moment, if Ifound a woman I truly enjoyed being with and she did not share my love for nudism, I can say ... we'd have a relationship but she'd have her own life and I'd have mine. My nudism would be something I'd do on my own and not include her in it.
But I truly think if I was in that position, which I hope I never am, I would move to a nude club or resort and join a singles group and see what happens. I think it' probably easier to find a single female nudist than it is to start from scratch and try and get some of these mature women to get their heads around nudism and what it really is and not what they think it is.

RE: Mature nudists

I spent my first 17 year marriage under strict conservative rule. There was no nudity tolerated outside the bedroom when changing only and the bathroom. I recall attempting to sleep nude a couple times and that was quickly put down. The next 19 years Luann and I have been together has been a life of nudity and the qualities the lifestyle adds. If I were to become single and looking for a female companion I know for me she would need to embrace nudism herself. It would be folly for me to even try and put this lifestyle aside. The Genie has been let out of the bottle!

Rockdad you are truly fortunate to find a good woman that enjoys the freedom and comfort of nudism with you. AndyDi, I think you have a good point as I am a year or two away from retirement it might be about time to plan a move somewhere nudist friendly, most likely Florida from where I started out. I would love nothing more than to enjoy relaxing clothes free while I still have my health and wits about me. If I should stumble upon a woman that is agreeable to my lifestyle then so much for the better!
