Is it just me? I would be less embarrassed in a group of clothed people naked than if I was in my briefs. Certainly, if I was dared to walk down the street in my underwear, I would say screw that, I won't do it if I can't do it naked.

I suppose it very much depends upon what the briefs look like!
But I guess, I'd be okay with being naked too.

I enjoy sexy underwear and have worn it in public places where nudity is not allowed.

Especially the old-fashioned "Tighty Whities". Horrors! Lol Now that I'm retired I have just 2 pairs of briefs(not white) for weddings and funerals...

If you wear the same pants elsewhere, there is no need for underwear for those occasions.
If not, get a comfortable pair of dress slacks and coordinating jscket.

I can tell you from personal experience that I am more comfortable in public while completely nude as opposed to being in my underwear.
Several years ago I participated on the no pants subway ride in Los Angeles ( I had to go and buy some to wear for the event.)
I wore boxer briefs and rode the subway and walked around the Chinese Theater.

I did my first WNBR in 2010 and after a few minutes it felt normal to be riding my bike around Los Angeles while completely nude.
In 2012 I did the No Pants ride. It was not that I felt uncomfortable. it just felt a little strange.
I did take advantage of the situation and did not put my pants back on after the event and rode the subway back to the valley and walked to the car still in my underwear.

In the attached picture I am the one on the right side in white shirt and marron underwear.

Is our choice of underwear more intimate than opting to go nude? Perhaps, but then grooming preferences also become public. I guess nudity, particularly in a group, has the element of all being relatively equal at that point.

Dont think I would be embarrassed to wear underwear. The only time I wear them is during certain jobs I have to do for work. Other than that I dont wear underwear.
