Chest / body hair going grey
Return to DiscussionsMy chest hair is limited and fair so I have tended to leave it alone. It did get shaved in part for some medical procedures earlier this year but apart from that I haven't bothered much. However the other day I saw a couple of large grey hairs, I was in shock, so I plucked them out.
I haven't noticed the same with the pubes as I have trimmed for a few years and have now removed. I have a few on my head but I just leave them, may just get shorter hair cuts in the future. However back to the chest, may have to start trimming there too, what do others do?
I haven't looked at your profile but I'm guessing I'm more hairy than you are. My chest hair is probably about 20 percent white now. The pubes are still dark, but if I had kept my beard it would be 60 percent white. The top of my head is still relatively gray free. My chest didn't start showing white til I was almost 50 and I'm 51 now.
You are indeed fortunate! My chest hair and the hair on my head, began to turn noticeably grey by the time I was 33. I tried hair dyes for several years and they only worked temporarily. Then my pubic hair began to sprout grey by the time I was 36. By the time I was 40 I was shaving all of my chest hair and pubic hair. Now at 70, if I let it grow out, my chest and pubic hair would be white. So in your situation, I would not worry about it, you might cut or dye the few miscreant hairs, but rest assured it could be much worse.
Welcome to "You are getting older"!!!! It is normal for us, as we get older, to lose hair in one spot and gain it in another. Just part of nature, don't worry about it. Unless you prefer to be smooth, then plan to shave every day or so.
My body hair was always light but turned white gray by my late 40s. It is why in many of my pics look hairless. Oddly, my head hair, once blond, keeps getting darker brown. I waited and waited for gray head hair to grow a beard, and finally settled last year for a two-tone head--gray beard, brown hair. I do trim body hair at times. The main nuisance is keeping up with the garden growing in my nose and ears. Yikes. As far as enjoying other nudists' appearance, I am happy if they are happy, hairy, hairless, dyed or natural.
It was just two long grey bastard hairs that caused my concern. Have had a few grey pubes but all are gone.
I have a few grey at the temples and in my beard on the chin but they look distinguished (or that is what I tell myself). Grey pubes or two long chest hairs, not so much. The beard trimmer is about to get a workout.
