Backyard Nudists

This is a group for those who may be Home Nudists or those who cannot always get to a Nudist Colony, Camp, or Resort and therefore take things into their own backyard! Whether your backyard is private enough or not, perhaps you lay out nude, skinnydip, garden, or mow the lawn, this group is for you!

Working in the heat

Return to Discussions

Today I moved a bunch of dirt from one place to another and sweated profusely.

It was hot, hot, hot today. Had to take plenty of shady breaks and lots of water. I think we, as humans, have lost much of the ability to live without air conditioning. Think about it, in many cases people go from their homes to their automobiles waiting in attached garages so we can make it to our office without ever being exposed to the heat.

Dee Dee doesn't understand how I can get out there in the miserable heat and dig holes. Much of the relief I think is provided by being nude. The skin sweats, that sweat evaporates readily in the wind and the body is cooled by that evaporation. Always wear recommended sun screen for your personal pigmentation, stay hydrated and stay naked in your backyard my friends!

I totally agree with you my friend. As you say the body perspires and helps keep the body cool. Wearing unnecessary clothes simply keeps the body hotter, wetter and uncomfortable and does not allow for air to pass over the body.
Sun protection, hydration and regular breaks will make you more fit, more comfortable and happier.
I love working hard in my garden totally nude unless other protection is required, such as gloves, a hat and footwear.

I totally agree with working nude to beat the heat. I can't be nude in some parts of the yard so I use the old style nylon running shorts...almost as good but not quite. It was 95'F here this weekend and had to do a little fence work and clearing...wear as little as possible, drink Gatorade and take breaks. It'll still kick your butt after a few hours.

I've been working on some screening out back past few weeks and because I needed a few things from garage I wore a t shirt and shorts in the beginning but as the sweat started dripping off me off came everything but the shoes finally I needed a hose to dose me . the hose was easy to retrieve but my spigot is in the open area to my neighbor behind but I was just to hot and I know she has seen me before - yeah she shouldn't have chopped down that tree.

I've been working on repairing my front walkway and since the foliage has filled in I was able to do that section nude. Could only do so much until it got to unbearably hot and then finished the day working inside. I'm not going to push it. I had a neighbor who died a few years ago doing to much in this Florida Summer heat. And it does wear you out.

I don't mind working in the heat. I love taking in all the sun I can and can't wait to get out of my clothes when I'm off work.
With a lot of yard to tend to, I get plenty of sun.
I love my outdoor shower for a quick rinse to take my core temp down a bit, especially if I've been sweating.
When it's really warm, I'll use it throughout the day.
My latest addition to my backyard is a stock tank pool I affectionately refer to as my redneck hot tub. It's a great way to cool down and relax in the heat.
I think the flamingo float gives it a touch of class! :-)

Usually able to mow my Florida backyard while nude without a problem. It was in the 90s this day. I had mowed the front, cooled off in the outdoor shower, took a little break and finished up out back.

I used to be able to work in the heat much more than I can nowadays. Since my wife has had some pre cancer skin spots removed, we seem to spend more sunbathing under an umbrella. I sunbake a bit but then I'm too far away from her so I get closer and end up under the shade of an umbrella or tree.

Still love working in the heat and sun. I remember the first time we had a rented house with a backyard where we could be naked. We were doing some crafting projects to make extra money at the local swap meets. It was hot and we were both sweating. It was hot enough that the cold water out of the garden hose felt awesome. We rubbed each other down and then toweled off before going inside. We both agreed that when we bought our first house, we'd have an outdoor shower.

We've had three homes since that time and each one has had an outdoor shower, better than the previous shower. I love doing yard work, getting sweaty and dusty and then taking a shower afterwards. It feels different than a shower you take inside. After sweating so much, your pores are open and you wash away the sweat and dirt and it feels as though your skin can breathe deeper. It really feels more invigorating.

As much as I love being nude in my backyard I must confess when it's super hot I prefer some clothes when working outside. Only because I sweat like a pig! When it's around 100 degrees I'd rather wear something absorbing to soak up the sweat and keep me cooler. I hate the stinging of sweat in my eyes so wear a bandana and really dislike the feeling of sweat running down my armpits and legs. Truth is in the Kansas summers I can't even sunbathe nude anymore by the middle of June due to the tremendous heat. The good news is I can start sunbathing from late March.July and August are months I enjoy my morning coffee nude and time filling bird feeders, and bird baths and watering plants.Working in the heat is just not nude time for me.

I would rather have sweat dripping than wear saturated clothing.
My hot weather yard work attire is nothing inside the fence, and loose gym shorts, no shirt or underwear in the more visible parts of my property.
