Happiness is finding a white line on black asphalt on a hot sunny summer day. So smooth, so clean.....so cool. 2 minutes ago

I like to walk barefoot on the nature trail at the nudist resort, they keep it cleared and smooth.

There is happiness to found anytime I can be barefoot in nature or in the city and particularly when I can be barefoot all over.

Some of these may betray me as not being as bare-footed as I could be...

- White lines on hot black asphalt.
- Getting beyond that stretch of pavement that has gravel scattered across it.
- Getting beyond those sharp rocks to the soft sand beyond, especially at Sunnyside North.
- Accessible soft grass to walk on alongside a paved path.
- A pathway that has been wetted by a sprinkler.
- Cool wet sand when the dry sand is burning hot.
- Squashing a 'jellyfish'* between the toes.

* The last one may be regional. What I heard was 'jellyfish' as a kid, and assumed was jelly-like tentacles, are, as I only discovered in the internet age, egg sacs of conical sand snails. Still nice, and reassuring that they're not poisonous (which every local kid knows anyway otherwise we'd all be dead by now).
