RE: are you satisfied with your boat ?

well i have two that use a paddle the first is a old town vapor 10 sit in that tracks great easy to handle but not great to fish out of but for just beating around it's great. my canoe is a pelican 15.6 ramx hull that i use for fishing mainly solo so yeah a lot of boat for one . i wish it was around 12 foot buti got a awesome deal on it at end of season, yeah still don't know if i'll keep it kinda leaning toward a sit onkayakfor fishing but the nice thing with a canoe is you sit higher than a kayak (well most of them ) so i'll play around with it some more.

i took my kayak out the other day fishing as it was a little windy and at the lake a little choppy water, there is no comparision between my kayak and the canoe as i just sliced through the water and this time i brought along my tiny anchor which when i found a good spot to fish held me in place. now i'm thinking of dumping the canoe and getting a sit on yak for fishing but want to be able to stand up and it be stable - yeah i know $$$. i'll keep my vapor 10 till my old legs can't get in it as it really tracks good.

I picked up my new kayak today, It's a Native Watercraft Ultimate14 Tandem. As soon as I arrived home I put it in the creek and went for a paddle with my dog, naked of course. I am only using the one seat in the rear position, single seat can also be used in the centre position. I am impressed with this craft so far.

i have a 14' river rogue canoe, and as ga bare said, it can be a too much to handle solo so i built a trolling motor mount for it and now it's a breeze getting around in when i'm fishing. i have however been thinking about getting a fishing kayak, can anyone recommend a good one.

I am satisfied enough with my Vapor 10 Angler to keep it but dissatisfied enough to want another, different, boat, lol. Isn't that how it always goes?
Definitely want a canoe and leaning toward an Old Town Charles River 15.

I am more than satisfied wih my royalex Old Town Penobscot 16' canoe. It's light but tough, fast, tracks well, glides well, and works well as both a tandem and/or solo boat. I'm on my my second one. I traded my first one for a larger boat that I used for a few years, but eventually came back to a Penobscot 16 for its overall advantages. It's just a great all around boat.
Also have a 15' Perception Expression kayak. I haven't had it for a full season yet but, so far, I'm luvin' this boat. Especially the drop down skeg that makes a huge difference when paddling across the wind. I haven't taken it camping yet but the dry storage capacity, both fore and aft, should be more than adequate. And it handles the chop in the Gulf of Mexico well too. I think I'll be getting a lot of use out of this boat for many years to come.

Yes, but I've got five boats of different styles to choose from, so whatever I'm doing, I'm happy with one of them. :)

my old legs weren't so good last season so used my canoe more than my kayak but this year i plan to use both equally maybe the yak more as it streaks through the water better. i mainly paddle on nearby lakes but want to do rivers more as we have several where once away from the docks you can find more solitude and nude paddling. one river i hope to try some gold panning too.
