a catholic traditionalist is someone who wants the church to go back to some pre-vatican 2 practices, like the latin rite being the main mass.

I am surprised to find a pre-Vatican II Catholic that embraces nudism. It seems that so many that are into the Latin Rite are very socially conservative. I guess there is no actual prohibition on nudism (and John Paul II seemed downright friendly to it). I guess it shouldn't surprise me, given how many nudists I've met that are conservative.
Talk a bit about how you came into nudism.
Ted.

well, i'm an autistic, so i'm sensitive. and why do people assume that being socially conservative means you hate nudism or hate gay rights? it doesn't make sense.

you're right. i guess sometimes people know the way they're living is good and they get a little bit ahead of themselves by trying to tell others hoping someone will like the way they live. but the truth is, it's very good to live in secret.

Actually if you check Tradition was for Mass to be said in the language of the people..And some traditions you may not have liked, such as a lay person could ONLY receive Communion once in their life time.. Also priest used to be allowed to Marry something I feel should be allowed again. Know the reason why they can't now long story and I'd need to recheck the time frame when it changed

How traditional I traditional. The early Christians did not have churches. Is that that the tradionalism to which you refer?

because that was the language of Rome, where the church was founded. besides, the Latin Rite is much more spiritually charged.

A very interesting discussion. Although I am not a Catholic,
my wife was and therefore, so are two of my three kids (now all
adult). My late wife's elderly aunts were 'Tridentine' Catholics and
some of the people they associated with were
seriouslyweird. My personal objection to the Latin Mass
is theCOMPLETE absence of any reference to the name of the
deceased at a funeral. It is if they never existed! That
is the Aussie situation, anyway, it may be different overseas.
Having sat through two funeral Masses, never again. Yet
some of the old Mass is beautiful and the Anglican High Church
continues that tradition, yet has moved with the
times.JohnML1959 and WoodsGuy make some valid comments, but I
don't see common-sense and much Christianity in the Aussie
Tridentine Church.Yes, the Church has grown since the year AD50 or
thereabouts, many changes for good and many for the purposes of
keeping the masses (people) ignorant! and under control.
History is full of good examples. We have moved on from the
Church's condemnation of Galileo and others who challenged the
church hierarchy. The world is not 'flat earth'.The comments
in this post show an intelligence and an enlightened view of
Christianity and show that ignorance can be overcome. Sure
have the Latin rite, but lets be understanding of other
viewpoints. That's what makes Nudists and Naturists better
people than those who want us all covered up!
