Winter time blues

Return to Discussions

Sadly its that time of the year here when swimming whether naked or not is just not plausible!

So I am missing swimming in my pool beyond belief. Hoping that all you folks in the Northern Hemisphere can help lift my winter time blues and post up pics of your days swimming here in this Group!

RE:Winter time blues

Just checked today's ocean and ambient temperatures for Tewantin/Noosa. This Victorian would be game!

I got back from Noosa last week, swam every day for the 10 preceding, the water was beautiful.

Nice. Main beach or A-Bay?

Main beach. I was there to do an ocean swim and was there with a new partner for a few days, she is not a nudie but is interested in coming to a beach with me next summer here. She had to leave after 5 days and I stayed with other swimmers in a house nearby, I went for a walk to A-bay but the track was at the north end, I think any nudies are at the south end, or that is what the women walking with me told me, we didn't go there, maybe next time.

Definitely the southern end of A-Bay was the nudie end although while people at that end were happy to move around nude, I've seen people laying out nude anywhere. Perhaps lower numbers with enforcement measures. For my last visit i walked to the Bay daily but in off-peak times. It's a great spot to view the sunrise.

It's interesting that the path to Sunshine Beach is way shorter, but perhaps less used than the track to Hastings Street, hence the southern end being more popular than the northern end. Or maybe the water is more benign, but I haven't noticed as a poor swimmer who just likes playing chicken in the waves.
