Clothing Optional Venues

Return to Discussions

Who here goes to C/O venues and wear clothes? My opinion is, if I go through the time, effort and expense to travel to an area where nudity is allowed, then I want to spend as much time as possible nude. If the weather is conducive to nudity, why wear anything? There are hundreds of thousands of places I can go where I HAVE to remain clothed, so if I want to wear clothes I can just go to one of them. If you go somewhere that clothing is optional, why wear clothes? What's the point of going, if not to get nekkid?

Nudony we visited there last summer. The staff and members treated us awesomely and made sure we were welcomed. It's a given in our minds if it's a c/o place that it is not in the pool area so that has never been question your to be naked. Luann does go into these modes of some type of cover be it a sorange or what not but not in the pool or a sauna area.

What I appreciated as well was how well they vetted us out when Luann called to make reservations. Lucky me I passed ! :D

We go to CO venues as the wife is a textile by nature.

I agree also, why go to a C/O venue and stay clothed. wife and I like to go to a nude beach in OR. we strip down when we get to our spot we like, sometimes sooner.after being there awhile, 2 ladies came by and asked if they could sit by us, we said sure.beach was not crowded but had a good amount of people. But they kept their swimsuits on, no big deal. after an hour or sow came back fro swimming and my wife went over to them and talked to them about not being naked.said it was not a big deal, they stand out more than being naked. One took her top off almost immediately ,the other had a one piece on and stayed that way.In about half an hour we came back from swimming and they both were naked, and really enjoyed it. my wife had converted them.

I guess those ladies were at least curious enough to choose the clothing-optional beach and the friendly encouragement was enough to get them over the line.

When I'm at the beach, those still wearing something are usually half of a couple (where, presumably, one is free to be nude and the other is happy to be there but not necessarily nude) or guys in briefs. I've never engaged with them . Perhaps they are hesitant, perhaps they feel more comfortable wearing their brief away from textile beaches amongst all the board shorts (I have briefer suits I'll wear anywhere but I'm virtually unique in that respect based on my observations) or perhaps they are checking everyone else out without participating. If the latter, I suspect they're eyeing the guys more than the girls based on the numbers at my beach and their selected spot on the sand.

I'm yet to attempt to encourage any of them, but it would be a nice achievement!

Similar to the clothing optional beach I attend, except there are also topless women and both genders wearing thongs, all of which are not sufficient for clothed beaches in the area. Most of the one nude couples are clothed female, nude male, although there are some clothed male nude male. Clothed male nude female is rare and female female couples, clothed or not, are essentially nonexistent,

That's a contrast to here where thongs have rapidly become normal for young females while guys resolutely stick to boardies unless the ones my age or older who are occasionally happy in a brief. The only blokes in thongs are those heading into or out of the CO zone at Sunnyside.

Conversely, toplessness among females does not seem to be a thing at textile beaches despite being legal as far as I can tell. Sydney may be different; I haven't had the opportunity to research it lately. :-)

Those accompanying their nude husbands at the CO beach may be topless and may choose a thong despite not being under 30-ish like for the textile beaches, and may wear even less depending in what they're doing.

I have been to 2 beaches near Sydney and one near Port Macquarie. On one, (Manly) I saw a few topless women, None on the other 2.
We saw a lifeguard competition at the one near Port Macquarie. The guards wore briefs for the competition, and bunched up the back like a thong for the rowing part. However, the ones actually guarding the beach wore boardies. Women on all of the beaches tended to wear skimpy bikinis, with a few thongs.

Yeah, apparently rowing causes extra rubbing unless you wear the briefs 'riding up'. I have no personal experience as I wore nothing for my longer paddles. :-)
