Wow! What a weekend!

Return to Discussions

I'm covered from head to toe in dirt and mulch, scratches all over, face, shoulders and arms sunburnt, salty from sweat (yes, contrary to popular belief, women DO sweat!), my finger nails are broken and encrusted with dirt, my back, arms, legs, feet, and shoulders ache, I have blisters on my hands, I'm exhausted...in other words I feel GREAT!!!!Winter is finally over...whoohooo! God, I love to garden.

Jen,
It's amazing how good we can feel when we are dirty, tired and sore. Those first few days in the garden are like a real tonic for me. And since my neighbors are a long ways away - I always try to do it nude!

This is so true...a lot of satisfaction in being tired and filthy, knowing you've achieved something. And, there is something completely exhilarating in doing it nude. I've gotten really brave and done some work in my garden nude, and even mowed the back yard nude. It just feels awesome.

Living here in the southwest US, I was able to start my garden in mid-March, so I'm already getting some tomatoes, peppers and onions to harvest.

naked gardening has to be the most pleasure one can have with out clothing !We both garden naked and the sun, rain and hail enhance us.As we live in a remote part of the world there is no reason to get your clothes dirty whilst you remove the leaves, saw up the logs and plant new seedling and bulbs.Eden (before the apple) was a nudist paradise and so should our own gardens be.We both enjoy the freedom of naked gardening and it is good for the soul and the body to be nude in the open air.It is pouring with rain today and I have just got in from getting the wood in for our log burner, naked as usual! Why get clothes wet and dirty when shin dries and cleans ?

I can understand rain but how can you he nude in hail?

When it comes to hail it's all about size ~ size DOES matter! It is the difference between being bothered by tiny ice balls and being rendered unconscious or dead. I know of someone whose neighbor ended up with a broken arm because he decided that moving his truck under an awning to save his windows was more important than his own body parts during a hailstorm. Mother nature can be one mean mutha and deserves respect.

Nude gardening is very pleasurable, a god way to get some all round sun, not staying in one position too long. But in the hail, really? We had a hail storm here last weekend, could not imagine being out in it, very intense for 5 minutes.

Cathartic to garden, even more so naked.

Gardening is transformative in its own right and nude gardening is transformative for the mind. Free and being a part of nature is the essence of this wonderful activity!
