Thought about modeling.
Return to DiscussionsAll you have to do is look up and contact the head of the Fine Arts Dept. at the community colleges in your area. They will then ask you to apply. If they are in need of models, it is very likely you will be hired. In the week(s) prior to your first session, you should read up on how to model for art classes (aka know as Figure Modeling). If you do like it and do good work, word will spread. After that, you should apply at other schools in your area. At one time, I was highly sought after. Unfortunately, my 'real-job,' [the one that pays the bills] got way too busy/time-demanding. I had to turn down so many requests to model, that they stopped calling on me. It was a total bummer but I've got a mortgage and other bills to pay.
I've thought about modeling and I've been told that I should. But I have no idea how to get started in it.Springfield MO area.
Contact a university close by and talk to the art department. They are all looking for models, however, most summer classes dont do live models so you may have to wait for fall semester to model. At least contact them to get the paperwork done. Thats a slow process so get it out of the way now. Good luck! Ive been one for a year now and I loved it!
