Nudist Fiction

This is a group dedicated to writing and sharing stories with a nudist theme.

Would like some input from this group. My story about three adults who enjoy doing things without clothes is going through multiple edits. Each tells the others how they came into their nude behaviors, yet each does not think they are a nudist. The issue which concerns me is children. In two cases the story has the children skinny-dipping. In the third case a woman and her sister liked running around nude when growing up. Given the goal is to have this story available on Amazon, how do you feel about it having passages with nude children?

Its all about how it is portrayed. There is nothing wrong with children running or swimming outside naked while innocence is with them, especially if it is in a naturist setting. In my opinion!

Thank you for your input. One of the main purposes of the story is to help normalize nudity, thus characters of all ages.

Little kids running around or splashing in the water are cute and that doesn't change if they are nude. Quite the contrary if it emphasises their youthful innocence. Unfortunately some members of society take an excessive interest (especially now it's facilitated by the internet) and it seems that cannot be ignored, even if we, as a society, may have swung too far towards protection. Once on record as with photos or videos it becomes potentially of interest to those particular members. Any depiction would probably have to be fleeting and incidental for that reason, if permitted at all.

Thanks for you viewpoint. It is a dicey topic, but I have seen items on the internet dealing with the age children should be made to wear clothes. There are a few other aspects of innocent childhood nudity online, such as nude boys swim classes, which I experienced. My story has the same level of innocent childhood nudity and references are in passing. One passage in my story is people at a textile beach giving the parents dirty looks when their two little kids are playing nude on the shore.

All my books include people living naked, including children. They are available on Amazon as paperback and Kindle. The few pictures included do not not show genitals. There have been a few reviews, but no one has called foul about the nudity, and Amazon has definitely not said anything about the books.

Campingbare, thanks for your input! It puts my mind to ease, what has been written can stay in the story. Taking out those passages would make the plot lines disjointed and the entire story less believable. One of the main reasons for writing the story is to help normalize nudity for readers uncomfortable with it. Leaving in the childhood references helps, in my opinion. BTW, I will check out your fiction on Kindle.

I think it all depends on how it is portrayed. Kids skinny dipping to me would be pretty normal even for a book that isn't about being nudist. Good luck with it.
