I have nothing to hide and there's nothing about any part of my body this is indecent, disgusting, shameful, or that should be hidden. It's just a human body.

At least one world leader held your view too. Churchill was staying at the White House and when Pres Roosevelt rolled into Winston's room , he found him naked. Winston made no attempt to cover up as they discussed details of the end of WW2

I have also read that LBJ had no issue with meeting male staff, members of congress and the press while nude in and around the White House pool,

Throughout all of human history (well, Western, anyway), nudity was never a cause for embarrassment. Every president up until sometime in the 1900s went skinny-dipping in the Potomac -- outside -- where random passersby could see. Were even joined by foreign dignitaries.
Every President swam nude in the Whitehouse pool.

The question is: do we need to ask permission to be naked in a room with friends or colleagues? Is it our right? Or maybe a balancing act?
Once I went hiking with a friend I felt comfortable with and we came to an abandoned quarry filled with clean water and no one around. I told him I needed a dip, stripped and dove in. I neither asked for permission nor coaxed him to join me and he sat quietly by himself. When I was dressed, he told me that it had triggered him since he had been the victim of sexual abuse, which I was aware of. I told him I was sorry to hear to that, but he didn't hold anything against me. I credited us and our friendship for both owning our energy, motivations, feeling, and self-care.
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I consider functional nudity (while sleeping, bathing, etc.) a nonissue for adult men among men in a private/safe setting. Hiking or lounging on the sofa watching TV naked is more a gray zone for me where intentions/permissions should be clarified depending on the setting.

You know, the same thing happened to me when a I accompanied a guy who was visiting a friend's place. We all got naked and I found myself having a panic attack, which (although I didn't realize it until much later) was the result of being sexually abused as a boy.
The odd thing is that, a few years earlier, I was involved with some nude activities with the FKK in Germany which didn't trigger such a reaction. And when, years later, I was invited to a nudist resort with lots of other people around, that reflex didn't kick in. I can only assume that because those activities were crowd scenes, my subconscious didn't perceive my nudity as vulnerability.

But have heard that he swam nude in the White House pool with Marilyn Monroe. No idea whether that's true or not -- just something I heard.

I heard that one too. But apparently there were a few women on the staff who where good looking but of questionable work skills who were also occasionally in the pool nude with him.
