Return to DiscussionsWait to strip down until you're out of sight of the parking area and public road. A mere 100 feet or so from the start of the trail, at the yellow trailhead sign, you're good to go. Enjoy the hike down to the beach area and back as bare as you care to.
Make sure you are on the right trail. The one you want has a sign at the beginning mentioning nudism.
When I have hiked the other trails, clothed, I have gotten wary glances from other hikers. More than normal. I suspect that others may try to use other areas around the falls for nude activities. Not everyone wants to experience nudists.
The lower falls is the attraction for most people. I have used the upper falls both above and below the falls without issue. Above the upper falls there is opportunity to hike a few miles nude and to see other nudists using the space.
