Didn't independently verify that this was possible. He said that some businesses were allowing nudists to enter and some were not.ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterMay 11, 2025
Im going up Friday night and depending on what my presently unfamiliar lodgings are ill leave nude for the bike ride and stay nude as long as possible. Conversing w another, they suggested being careful if solo. Never know whos gonna make an issue but if there's two or more of us going into business I will join. Ill have yo remember my selfie stick!

Nothing like being in the company of a naked woman to make a naked male more accepted!ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterMay 12, 2025
Ive read as much as i can find about public nudity in Vermont. 2 things jump out. It is considered lewd to disrobe in public. Which leads me to believe it's better to leave house/lodgings naked. Next there are a couple of municipalities that have banned public nudity. So best to check where you are and act accordingly . Because no one looks I plan on driving up nude.

Arriving nude does sound like a good idea, though.ReactReply - NA
May 13, 2025Vermont is my go-to place for freehiking and skinny-dipping. Indeed, it is considered lewd to disrobe in public so I always make sure I arrive nude or am in a place where I have privacy to disrobe. There are some notable towns that ban public nudity: Rutland and South Burlington have banned it.

Planning on driving nude one or both ways or spending most of your time in VT nude to extend the experience?ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterJun 15, 2025

Jun 15, 2025I saw your comment that you were naked with no clothing with you all day. What else were you able to do naked?
Will you be driving home naked to continue the experience?ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterJun 15, 2025
I stayed over up there Friday night drive up naked. I did bring an overnight bag as I did go into the accommodation dressed and then out to. Dinner. Slept naked. Dressed for breakfast as it was included and other travelers were there. After breakfast got naked , packed my bag. I new the proprietor made himself scarce and other guests left immediately after breakfast. So still nude i walked out of the inn to my vehicle carrying my bag this was partially obscured by trees. Got in and drove to event start still naked . Parked in a park and ride for the start, read and enjoyed peace n quiet watching others come and go.. the event started I had a great time around 3:30 after finishing event in town I went back to car, and drove home naked. Had to put on shorts to fill up in Massachusetts as public nudes are not allowed there. And did stop for dinner at a diner in new york, had to dress shorts tshirt , got naked again for balance of trip home.

Jun 15, 2025Glad to see you just put on shorts to get gas. Many men think that they need a shirt also.
I rarely drive nude but often drive shirtless and if I am, I never put on a shirt to get gas,
Sounds like a long day, I guess it was dark enough for you to go from car to house nude when you got home.ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterJun 15, 2025
Yes got home around 10:25

My normal summer attire is just cotton gym shorts and if I have to wear a shirt it is often sleeveless with a large opening around the neck. When you retire and spend more time in Florida you will be able to be nude more of the time and get rid of a lot of you clothing.ReactReply - MI

Even at 30+ years of nude sleeping, you probably started later than many men on this site. I started 36 years ago at age 36 after a long period of wearing less and less in bed. Should have started as soon as I moved out of my parents home and got married at 22.ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterJun 15, 2025
Agreed. Its a comfort thing i hate being bound up in sheets n clothing cant shift without pulling, nude is better!

Along the same lines, how long have you been swimming nude? I started (mainly after dark) when we bought a house with a pool. When I retired and got a privacy fence10 years ago, my nude swimming time increased significantly.ReactReply - MI

Actually, I was thinking about public reaction given the very small group of participants, relative to Philly. It could not have been nicer from honking horns to verbal support to two folks actually joining us it was a very nice experience. Actually " The public " was fairly sparse as well. Most pedestrian interaction took place immediately in village center , restaurant, pub and storefront locations .

Jun 17, 2025I read a lot about public nudity being legal in Vermont, unless prohibited locally and not stripping in public,, do many people actually take advantage of that outside of organized events like WNBR?
Assuming you stayed in a hotel, did you leave the hotel nude and remain so for the entirety of the day?

By the way, I just noticed that this year's Philly WBNR is the same day as the Sunny Rest clothing optional 5K, August 23. Have you given any thought to doing one, or if you are aggressive, both? Combine with a few laps at Sunny Rest and you could do a nude mini-triathlon.ReactReply - MI
